Paraiso Douro - Lamego

Location: The view of the wide Douro Valley is absolutely jaw-dropping! Welcome: We were greeted with a glass of Port, a super nice touch. Amenities: Two free bottles of water, biscuits, and tea making facilities were provided in our room. Meals: The very good meal we had at a reasonable price was mind-blowing. Comfort: The bed was incredibly comfortable and we could even hear the crickets outside at night. Gardens: We enjoyed taking a walk in the large gardens to admire the valley at night and in bright sunshine. Overall Experience: We were absolutely delighted to have chosen this hotel for our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Paraiso Douro Al. The facilities were wide open, offering a fantastic view over the city. The bungalow was comfy and included a large variety of free amenities. The property is well preserved and taken care of. The staff, especially Rose, were friendly and helpful. The views are amazing and the grounds stunning. The hotel is in a wonderful position way up in the hills overlooking the Douro. Our room was very comfortable and we enjoyed a swim in the indoor pool with a view. The breakfast was very good and plentiful with lovely fresh fruit.

Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

The large window in the room allowed us to enjoy the stunning cloud-filled sky right from our comfy bed. This paradise also offered free wi-fi in public areas, free parking, an electric kettle, a flat-screen TV, sun loungers. And the fact that there were non-smoking and pet-free rooms was a huge plus. We couldn't be happier with our choice of accommodation.
